《Just Helping My Dad》

Dad is home today.

爸爸今天在家。

I will help my dad do things.

我会帮爸爸做些事。

"Wake up, Dad," I say.

“爸爸，起床，”我说。

"We have work to do."

“我们有活要干。”

Dad is sleepy.

爸爸太困了很想睡觉。

I make breakfast for him all by myself.

于是我亲自给爸爸做了早餐。

I am helping Dad.

我正在帮爸爸。

I cut the grass.

我剪草。

Oops! The mower got away!

糟了！铲草机跑了！

"Sorry, Dad," I say.

“对不起，爸爸，“ 我说。

I wash the car, just for Dad.

我在洗车，是专门为爸爸洗车哦。

Who left the windows open?

可谁把车窗打开了？

I can paint.

我还会粉刷墙面。

But Dad has to finish.

但是爸爸不得不为我擦屁股...

I see a bees' nest.

我看到一个蜜蜂窝。

"I will fix it,Dad," I call.

“我来处理，爸爸，” 我叫道。

Dad is yelling something.

爸爸大声呼叫着。

"Run!"Dad yells,"Run!"

“快跑！”爸爸大叫,“跑！”

I run fast.

我飞快地跑起来。

We go to town, just Dad and me.

我和爸爸两个人去小镇。

We buy gas.

我们买了汽油。

I say,"Dad, I can pump gas."

我说：“爸爸，我来加油。”

Dad pumps the gas.

爸爸加着汽油拒绝了我。

We go to the store.

我们去商店。

I get stuff for dad.

我帮爸爸买东西。

"Too much,Dad?" I ask.

“买太多了吗，爸爸？” 我问。

Dad needs a new hammer.

爸爸需要一个新的锤子。

"This hammer really works!

“这锤子真好用！

Sorry about the nails," I say.

关于钉子我很抱歉。” 我说。

We get a parking ticket.

我们收到了停车罚单。

Dad does not look happy.

爸爸看起来不开心。

Dad says,"I am not mad, just not happy."

爸爸说：“我不是生气，只是不开心。”

I say, "that's fair, Dad."

我说：“那就好，爸爸。”

We go home.

我们回家了。

Mom says,"The toilet is broken."

妈妈说：“马桶塞了。“

"I will fix it." I say.

“我来修。” 我说。

I can't fix it. I call Dad.

我修不了，于是我叫了爸爸来处理。

I forgot to turn off the hose.

我忘了拧紧水管。

I say,"That's okay, Dad. Grass loves water!"

我说：“不要紧的，爸爸。小草喜欢水！”

We have dinner.

我们吃了晚餐。

Then Dad and I watch a movie.

然后爸爸和我看了部电影。

Dad is tired.

爸爸已经累坏了。

It's time to sleep.

睡觉的时间到了。

Dad tucks me in.

爸爸送我去睡觉，帮我盖好被子。

"Did I help you,Dad?" I ask.

“我帮上忙了吗，爸爸？”我问。

Dad says, "Yes, you did. Thank you."

爸爸说：“你当然帮上了，谢谢你。”

What a great day, just helping my dad!
