《Giggle，Giggle，Quack！》

Farmer Brown was going on vacation.

农场主布朗要去度假了。

He left his brother, Bob, in charge of the animals.

他叫来了他的老弟鲍勃，替他照顾农场里的动物们。

"I wrote everything down for you. Just follow my instructions and everything will be fine."

“我把样样事情都写下来了，你只要看仔细我的字条，就能把一切搞定。

"But keep an eye on Duck. He's trouble."

不过，要留神那只鸭子，它可是个捣蛋头头。”

Farmer Brown thought he heard giggles and snickers as he drove away, but he couldn't be sure.

在开着车出发的一刹那，布朗怀疑自己听到了一阵吱咕、吱咕的声音，还有咯咯咯地偷笑声，可他又觉得自己可能是听错了。

Bob gave Duck a good long stare and went inside.

鲍勃狠狠地瞪了鸭子一眼，就走进了屋子。

He read the first note:

Tuesday night is pizza night (not the frozen kind!)

星期二晚上，要吃披萨饼。（不是速冻的那种！）

The hens prefer anchovies.

母鸡喜欢加凤尾鱼披萨。

Giggle, giggles, cluck.

吱咕、吱咕、咯......

Twenty-nine minutes later there was hot pizza in the barn.

二十九分钟之后，谷仓里已经摆开了热腾腾的披萨饼大餐。

Bob checked on the animals before he went to bed.

鲍勃在临睡之前，去看了看谷仓里的动物们。

Everything was just fine.

一切都很正常。

Wednesday is bath day for the pigs.

星期三，要给小猪洗澡。

Wash them with my favorite bubble bath and dry them off with my good towels.

用我最好的泡泡香波，还有我的大浴巾给他们洗个干净。

Remember, they have very sensitive skin.

动作要轻柔，他们的皮肤很敏感。

Giggle, giggle, oink.

吱咕、吱咕、啰......

Bob had all the pigs washed in no time.

鲍勃立刻给所有的小猪从头到尾巴，洗了一遍。

Farmer Brown called home on Wednesday night to check in.

农场主布朗在星期三傍晚打电话回家，例行检查。

"Did you feed the animals like I wrote in the note?" he asked.

“你照我字条上说的那样，喂了那些动物吗？”

"Done," replied Bob, counting seven empty pizza boxes.

“当然。”鲍勃说着，数了数七个空空的披萨饼盒子。

"Did you see my note about the pigs?"

“你看过了我写的关于那些小猪的字条吗？”

"All taken care of," said Bob proudly.

“全都弄得妥妥当当。”鲍勃骄傲地答道。

"Are you keeping a very close eye on duck?" he asked.

“你有没有盯紧那只鸭子？”布朗问道。

Bob gave Duck a good long stare.

鲍勃又狠狠地瞪了鸭子一眼。

Duck was too busy sharpening his pencil to notice.

鸭子正忙着削他的那个铅笔头。

"Just keep him in the house," ordered Farmer Brown.

“把它关在屋子里，”布朗下着命令。

"He's bad influence on the cows."

“别让它把我的奶牛给带坏了。”

Giggle, giggle, moo！

吱咕，吱咕，哞！

Giggle, giggle, oink！

吱咕，吱咕，啰！

Giggle, giggle, quack！

吱咕，吱咕，嘎！

Thursday night is movie night.

星期四晚上要放电影。

It's the cow's turn to pick.

让奶牛们来挑它们喜欢看的片子。

Giggle, giggle, moo.

吱咕，吱咕，哞......

Bob was in the kitchen, popping corn.

这天晚上，鲍勃正忙着在厨房里爆米花。

Just as the animals settled in to watch THE SOUND OF MOOSIC, the phone rang.

而一群动物正聚在一块儿看“音乐之牛”的时候，电话铃猛然间响了起来。

The only thing Farmer Brown heard on the other end was:

农场主布朗举着电话，只听到从另一头传来一阵：

"Giggle, giggle, quack, giggle, moo, giggle, oink."

吱咕、吱咕、嘎！吱吱，哞！吱吱，啰。

UH-OH!

啊——哦！

"Duck!"

“又是鸭子！”布朗大吼一声。

It's for you, Bob!
