Dad is home today.

I will help my dad do things.

“Wake up, Dad,” I say. “We have work to do.”

爸爸今天在家。

Dad is sleepy, I make breakfast for him all by myself.

爸爸太困了很想睡觉，于是我亲自煮早餐给爸爸吃。

I am helping Dad. I cut the grass.

Oops! The mower got away!

“Sorry, Dad,” I say.

我正在帮我爸爸。我剪草。

糟了！铲草机跑了！“对不起，爸爸，“ 我说。

I wash the car, just for Dad.

Who left the windows open?

我为爸爸洗车，是专门为他洗车哦。

可谁把车窗打开了？

I can paint.

But Dad has to finish.

我还会粉刷墙面。

但是爸爸不得不为我擦屁股...

I see a bees' nest. “I will fix it, Dad,” I call.

Dad is yelling something. “Run!”

Dad yells. “Run!” I run fast.

我看到一个蜜蜂窝。“我来处理，爸爸，” 我叫道。

爸爸大声呼叫着。“快跑！”

爸爸呼叫。“跑！” 我飞快地跑起来。

We go to town, just Dad and me.

We buy gas. I say, “Dad, I can pump gas.”

Dad pumps the gas.

只是我和爸爸两个人去小镇。

我们买了汽油。“爸爸，我可以用泵加油。”

爸爸加着汽油拒绝了我。

We go to the store. I get stuff for dad.

“Too much, Dad?” I ask.

Dad needs a new hammer.

我们去商店。我帮爸爸买东西。

“买太多了吗？爸爸，” 我问。

爸爸需要一个新的锤子。

“This hammer really works!

Sorry about the nails,” I say.

“这锤子真好用！”

“关于钉子我很抱歉，” 我说。

We get a parking ticket.

Dad does not look happy.

Dad says，“I am not mad, just not happy.”

I say, “that’s fair, Dad.”

我们给罚了停车单。爸爸看上去有些沮丧。

爸爸说，“我不是生气，只是不开心。”

我说，“那就好，爸爸。”

We go home. Mom says.

“The toilet is broken.”

“I will fix it,” I say.

I can’t fix it. I call Dad.

我们回家。妈妈说，“马桶塞了。“

“我来修，” 我说。

我修不了，于是我叫了爸爸来处理。

I forgot to turn off the hose.

I say, “That’s okay, Dad.

Grass loves water!”

我忘了拧紧水管。我说，

“不要紧的，爸爸，草喜欢水！”

We have dinner.

Then Dad and I watch a movie.

Dad is tired.

我们吃了晚餐，然后爸爸和我看了部电影。

爸爸已经累坏了。

It’s time to sleep.

Dad tucks me in.

“Did I help you, Dad?” I ask. Dad says,

“Yes, you did. Thank you.”

睡觉的时间到了，

爸爸把我了背起来送我回去睡觉。

“我帮上忙了吗，爸爸？” 我问。爸爸说，

“你当然帮上了，谢谢。”

What a great day, just helping my dad!
